Manchester City and Manchester United faced off at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup final, in a decisive match between the two teams that promised intense emotions. Ultimately, glory tilted towards the blue side of the English city.
The match began with an early goal from Manchester City at the 13-second mark, thanks to a powerful long-range shot from Ilkay Gündogan, who capitalized on a rebound left by Lindelof. However, Manchester United managed to equalize the score at the 33-minute mark through a penalty kick executed by Bruno Fernandes.
In the second half, Manchester City maintained the same offensive strategy they had been using since the start of the match. On the other hand, Manchester United adopted a more offensive approach, which left spaces in defense that were exploited by their rival.
Just six minutes into the second half, Kevin De Bruyne delivered a free-kick from the right flank to the position of Ilkay Gündogan, who this time connected with a somewhat irregular but effective left-footed volley. This goal proved decisive for Manchester City as it allowed them to take the lead again on the scoreboard and maintain it until the end of the match.
The Premier League champions have also conquered the FA Cup, and now they will seek the Champions League title next Saturday when they face Inter Milan. City is on the verge of achieving the treble under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, who continues to add titles to the club.
