The summer transfer window is open, and lots of rumors are starting to circulate online as clubs upgrade their squads for the upcoming season. Manchester City are the Premier League champions, and even though they won it four times in a row, they are looking to win it a fifth time in a row. Pep Guardiola looks forward to defending the title, and he wants the club to start looking at replacements for potential departures in the squad. One of the key players that Man City is about to lose is Ederson, who is set to make a move to Al Nassr this summer to play in the Saudi Pro League next season. Guardiola and Man City are looking for a replacement in Real Madrid. Manchester City have Andriy Lunin on their shortlist in case Ederson leaves, according to Bernabeu Digital. The Ukrainian keeper has been unsure about his future at Real Madrid and was potentially leaving the club this summer anyway. Manchester City is open to selling Ederson this summer to Al Nassr if a big bid arrives and if the Brazilian keeper decides to leave.

MARCA reports that Lunin has not yet answered to Real Madrid's renewal offer. At the club, they have doubts about his continuity. The Ukranian keeper had a great season with Real Madrid during the absence of Thibaut Courtois. Lunin played a total of 31 matches for Real Madrid this past season. He conceded 32 goals and kept 12 clean sheets. He was the third-choice keeper after Real Madrid signed Kepa Arrizabalaga last summer on loan.

Kepa was not convincing Real Madrid fans and Carlo Ancelotti, which led to more playing time for Lunin. The young keeper showcased great saves for Real Madrid and was seen as the future keeper of the team. Now, with Lunin yet to renew his contract with Real Madrid, Los Blancos may be open to selling him since his contract expires next summer.

Manchester City concerned about Ederson's departure

Manchester City is increasingly concerned that they will lose Ederson to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Fabrizio Romano reported that if the Brazilian keeper leaves, Guardiola will make Stefan Ortega the number-one keeper. The club has been linked with a couple of keepers lately, like Lunin and Mike Maignan from AC Milan.
