After the failures in the Champions League group stage and in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup, Manchester United's objectives this season were reduced to just two: to reach the qualification zone for the next Champions League (for which they need to be among the top four teams in the Premier League) and to compete for the FA Cup title.

The latter is probably the most possible goal they have. Other top teams in England such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City will be focused on the Premier League and Champions League and may not give as much importance to this tournament, so The Red Devils should take advantage of the opportunity.

In their debut in the competition they beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 and will now face another team of lower quality and budget than their own: Newport County. The Ironsides are currently in League Two, the fourth tier of English soccer, and reached this stage of the FA Cup thanks to their 3-1 win over Eastleigh in the round of 64.

For this Sunday's match, coach Erik Ten Hag does not want any unpleasant surprises and therefore included many of the squad's stars in the starting lineup: Altay Bayindir; Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes; Antony, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho. In addition, substitutes will be Tom Heaton, Johnny Evans, Willy Kambwala, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Omari Forson, Facundo Pellistri, Christian Eriksen and Amad Diallo Traore.

This Sunday the Rodney Parade will be packed with fans enjoying a historic match for Newport County. But they don't want to be satisfied with just facing Manchester United, they will be going all out for a memorable victory. Coach Graham Coughlan selected this XI: Nick Townsend; Shane McLoughlin, James Clarke, Scot Bennett, Ryan Delaney, Adam Lewis; Bryn Morris, Harry Charsley, Aaron Wildig; Will Evans, Seb Palmer-Houlden.
