Manchester United have had many problems this season. The performances of the team were far from expectations, the signings for which the club paid a fortune (like Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund) did not work out and the results were very poor. This caused them to be eliminated from the Carabao Cup and Champions League, while in the Premier League they are far behind leaders Liverpool.

But that was not all, as there were also problems off the field. The most serious of them was the quarrel between Jadon Sancho and Erik Ten Hag. The coach decided not to call him up for a match against Arsenal on September 3 and, when asked about it at the press conference, he claimed that it was due to the player's performances during training. This did not please Jadon, who immediately posted a message on social media criticizing the manager and insinuating that he was a liar.

This definitively broke the relationship between the two and since then the winger has been punished by the club's chiefs, who removed him from the squad and sent him to train with United's academy. Four months have passed since then and it is clear that things will not change. That is why the club are looking for a solution for Sancho and are considering loaning him out to another team.

Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona and Saudi Arabian sides were mentioned as possible destinations, but negotiations have not progressed. And now there is apparently a new option. According to The Telegraph, West Ham United are interested in signing Jadon Sancho, although the player's high salary (more than $16 million per year) is a problem.

He is not the only one targeted

In the last transfer window, the Hammers came close to signing two other Manchester United players: Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay. Boss Ten Hag did not consider them a priority and so there was speculation about their departure, but they finally stayed and proved to be key pieces for the team.
