Nico Williams would be Barcelona's player after the Euro, Barca's plan to sign him

Nico Williams has been a target for FC Barcelona for the past couple of months, and after their performances at EURO 2024 with the Spanish national team, Barcelona is convinced to sign him. The Catalan club indeed to pay big for the young winger who is shining at the EUROS with Lamine Yamal. The Athletic Bilbao winger is reportedly interested in playing for FC Barcelona next season, and now the Catalan cub has a plan to sign him. Sport reports that everything is done between Nico Williams and FC Barcelona. Williams is now waiting for Barça to either pay his release clause or negotiate with Athletic. If the Blaugrana does pay the release clause, Nico Williams will become a Barcelona player next season. The release clause in William's contract with Atheltic Bilbao is worth just above $60 million. FC Barcelona has hinted that their financial situation is improving, that the signing could be made possible this summer, and that the move could accelerate starting next week.

Nico Williams has been exceptional for Spain at the European Championship, which has made other clubs interested this summer. He also won the Copa Del Rey with Athletic Bilbao this past season, where he scored three goals and provided five assists in the competition.

Williams and Yamal showed a great friendship at the EUROS, and the Atheltic Bilbao star predicted that Yamal would score against France in the semifinals.
