The Premier League is reaching the decisive stage and clubs know that any mistake can complicate their chances of success. Gradually some teams have managed to distance themselves from the rest in a hotly contested competition for the top of the standings: they are Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. But behind them, very close, are also Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Manchester United are aiming to join that group. After a difficult start of the season, in which the team's performances were disappointing, as well as the results, they gradually improved their level and in the last weeks they achieved several victories that allowed them to get closer to the top. Although the goal of competing for the title is almost impossible, they still have hopes of qualifying for the Champions League 2023/24.
That is why this Sunday's match between Aston Villa and Manchester United is so important. Unai Emery's team knows that if they get a victory, they will overtake Tottenham in the standings and will be in the qualification zone to the main European tournament. And the Red Devils may have their last chance, because if they lose, they will be too far away.
Coach Erik Ten Hag decided that the starting lineup at Villa Park will be: André Onana; Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguir, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw; Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes; Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford. In addition, the substitutes will be Altay Bayindir, Victor Lindelof, Johnny Evans, Sofyan Amrabat, Scott McTominay, Omari Forson, Christian Eriksen, Antony and Amad Diallo Traore.

However, if they get a victory this Sunday, they will be only 5 points behind Liverpool. Coach Unai Emery chose this XI: Emiliano Martinez; Matthew Cash, Diego Carlos, Clement Lenglet, Alex Moreno; Boubacar Kamara, Douglas Luiz, Leon Bailey, Jacob Ramsey, John McGinn; Ollie Watkins.
