Liverpool have had an almost perfect start to the Premier League season. After the opening draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they have won the next four games and are, at least until Manchester City play West Ham United, the leaders of the table with 13 points.

Saturday's game against Wolverhampton was a tough one for The Reds, as they started behind to a goal after 7 minutes from Hwang Hee-Chan, following a great play by Pedro Neto. Things did not go well in that first half for Jurgen Klopp's team, who went to the break down on the scoreboard.

However, everything changed in the second half. After 10 minutes, Mohamed Salah shot with his right foot inside the box, the ball was not heading for the goal, but Cody Gakpo appeared to deflect it and score the equaliser. From that moment on, Liverpool dominated the game and tried to break the Wolves' defensive barriers. And they succeeded in the final minutes.

In the 40th minute, Andrew Robertson recovered the ball near midfield after a corner kick. He advanced several meters, gave a pass to Salah and continued to advance, now without the ball, into the box. The Egyptian winger waited for him and gave him a great assist for the second goal. And in the stoppage time, Salah was again the protagonist, giving a pass to Harvey Elliot to shoot from outside the box, the ball deflected off defender Hugo Bueno and overcame the resistance of goalkeeper José Sá.

Now they have another goal

With the 3-1 win over Wolverhampton, Liverpool are in the top of the Premier League standings. But that is not enough, as next week they will start their UEFA Europa League journey: on Thursday, September 21, they will travel to Austria to face LASK Linz in the first match of Group E.
