He currently plays at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia, but he had a new route he chose to be in Brazil. Firmino has become a pastor in an Evangelical Church founded by himself and his wife. The Brazilian striker opened a church in his hometown of Maceio, Brazil. Firmino and his wife published a statement on their social media that read, "Since our first encounter with Christ, a desire burned in our hearts. We want people to feel this love that reached us. Now we have another desire and responsibility: to become pastors on behalf of God." The Brazilian star was in Brazil a few weeks ago for a ceremony, but now he is back in Saudi Arabia for the preseason with Al Ahli.

Firmino joined the Saudi Pro League club last summer as a free transfer after his contract with Liverpool expired on June 30th, 2023. The Brazilian star played a total of 34 matches across all competitions for Al Ahli. He scored nine goals and provided seven assists.
