The first half of the 2023/24 season is coming to an end. The next few weeks will see the last group stage games of the Champions League and UEFA Europa League being played, while the domestic leagues are reaching the halfway point. This also means that in a short time the transfer window in Europe will open again and clubs will have the whole month of January to sign some players to help raise the level of the team and compete for titles.

In England, several teams are looking for players. Clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham have had negative spells of injuries and have lost important players. The Red Devils suffered the absence of stars such as Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund; while Spurs will not be able to count on James Maddison and Micky Van De Ven for a long time.

That is why they, in addition to Liverpool, are interested in a defender who has had excellent performances lately: Jean-Clair Todibo. The French centre-back had a forgettable spell at Barcelona between 2019 and 2020, playing only 5 games. But since 2021 he shines at Nice in France and there his performances have been very good. In fact, this allowed him to reach the French National Team, where he made his debut on September 12 this year in a friendly match against Germany.

According to The Sun, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool intend to start negotiations to sign him. But it won't be an easy task: Nice will only agree to sell him for £39million (almost $50 million).

What does he want to do?

According to reports, one of the decisive factors for Jean-Clair Todibo to choose his next club will be, in addition to the financial offer, the sporting project. He wants guarantees of a regular starting spot, as he is keen to gain prominence in the French national team and secure his place at Euro 2024.
