Not even when they win Manchester United have calm lately. This Wednesday they beat Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford, in a key Premier League match. Scott McTominay netted both goals for the Red Devils, while Cole Palmer had scored the equaliser in the last minutes of the first half.

The victory allowed them to reach the sixth place in the standings with 27 points, the same as Tottenham, who will play this Thursday against West Ham United. They are now only 3 behind Manchester City, but far from leaders Arsenal, who have 36.

One of the keys to the team's good performance against the Blues was coach Erik Ten Hag's decision to give priority to Alejandro Garnacho as left-winger and Antony as right-winger, leaving Marcus Rashford on the bench. The English forward, despite being one of the stars of the squad, has been disappointing lately and the manager preferred other alternatives. Also Anthony Martial was left on the bench, as Rasmus Hojlund was the centre-forward chosen by the manager.

Time proved Ten Hag right, as the team performed well with that change. And many agreed with him, including former club player Patrice Evra. The French defender was quoted by the X 'centredevils' account saying: "I think it will be tough for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial to come back into the starting eleven". What no one could have imagined is what this would caused just a few hours later.

Was it a mistake?

One X user discovered an unexpected detail about this: Luke Shaw, one of Manchester United's stars, liked the 'centredevils' tweet with Evra's words. This caused the surprise of many fans on social media, which forced Shaw to respond, giving an explanation of what happened: "Come on don't be silly, obviously not intentional".
