One of the most interesting matches of the week in Premier League will be the one played this Tuesday at Old Trafford between Manchester United and Aston Villa. The hosts are three games without a win in the English league and Erik Ten Hag's critics are increasingly harsh, so they need a victory to calm the mood and quell rumors of a possible change of manager. With Sir Jim Ratcliffe buying 25% of the club, many believe Graham Potter could be the next coach.
And the visitors are in a completely different situation. They are having an almost perfect season, with 12 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats in their first 18 Premier League games. That has allowed them to be in second place in the standings along with Liverpool, with 39 points, one less than the leaders Arsenal. In addition, in recent weeks they achieved important victories against the Gunners and Manchester City.
The Red Devils know that it will be a difficult match and that is why coach Ten Hag will field his best players. But he will not be able to count on some stars who are recovering from physical problems, such as Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez and Mason Mount.
Manchester United's XI will be: Andre Onana; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Johnny Evans, Raphael Varane, Diogo Dalot; Kobbie Mainoo, Christian Eriksen; Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho; Rasmus Hojlund. Also on the bench will be Altay Bayindir, Sergio Reguilon, Willy Kambwala, Donny Van De Beek, Scott McTominay, Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Daniel Gore and Antony.
Aston Villa are unbeaten in ten games considering Premier League and UEFA Europa League. Fans are satisfied with the team's performance and dream of competing for one of those titles this season. Coach Unai Emery decided that the starting lineup will be: Emiliano Martinez; Ezri Konsa, Diego Carlos, Clement Lenglet, Lucas Digne; Leon Bailey, John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Jacob Ramsey; Leander Dendoncker, Ollie Watkins.
