On Sunday, September 3, Manchester United lost 3-1 against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium. After the match, coach Erik Ten Hag gave a press conference and, when asked about the absence of Jadon Sancho, explained: "Jadon, on his performance in training, was not selected. You have to reach a level at Manchester United every day and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected."
This caused anger from the player, who minutes later posted a message on social media saying, "I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
Sancho's response was considered disrespectful by the club's chiefs, who decided to punish him by excluding him from the squad and even preventing him from training with his teammates. The relationship between the coach and the forward seems to have no solution, and many are already speculating about a transfer to another club in January.
And now Mirror revealed details of the punishment Jadon is suffering. According to the English newspaper, the player not only cannot train with the squad, but cannot even access the sectors of the Carrington training camp for the senior men's team. This includes, for example, the canteen. So he eats alongside the academy players, and not with his teammates.
According to reports, some of the team's stars like Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw understand Jadon Sancho's anger with Erik Ten Hag, but believe his reaction was over the top. That is why they want to convince him to apologize in an attempt to defuse the tension and resolve the conflict. But the forward does not seem to be willing to do so.
