The most interesting match in European soccer this weekend will undoubtedly be the one between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield Road. They are two of the best teams in England right now and the Premier League table shows it. Until last week the Reds were the leaders, but the 0-0 draw against Manchester United allowed Arsenal to steal that place.

And now they will face each other looking to stay at the top of the tournament. Also in the fray are Aston Villa, who drew 1-1 with Sheffield United on Friday. However, Unai Emery's side know that, whatever happens, they will not finish the weekend at the top of the table. For now The Villans and The Gunners share the lead with 39 points, while The Reds have 38.

Aware of the importance of this match, boss Jurgen Klopp managed the efforts of his players in Wednesday's match against West Ham United for the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup. That's why stars like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz were on the bench and played only a few minutes, while others like Virgil Van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai were part of the starting lineup and then replaced.

Liverpool's XI this Saturday will be: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil Van Dijk, Konstantinos Tsimikas; Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones; Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz. On the bench will be Caoimhin Kelleher, Joseph Gomez, Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Ryan Gravenberch, Harvey Elliott, James McConnell, Bobby Clark and Darwin Nunez.

The Gunners have a slight advantage

Unlike the Reds, Arsenal had no games this week and so the players have had more time to rest. Coach Mikel Arteta decided that the starting lineup will be: David Raya; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, Kai Havertz; Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli. In addition, the substitutes will be Aaron Ramsdale, Jakub Kiwior, Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny, Emile Smith-Rowe, Jorginho, Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah.
