Liverpool will play this Saturday against Wolverhampton their fifth game in the Premier League 2023/24. So far they have shown great performances in their previous matches, getting 3 wins (3-1 against Bournemouth, 2-1 vs. Newcastle and 3-0 against Aston Villa) and a 1-1 draw vs. Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. This puts them just two points behind leaders Manchester City in the standings.

Before facing Wolves, Jürgen Klopp gave a press conference in which he talked about the team and his expectations for Saturday's match at Molineux Stadium. On this, he said: “It is a difficult place to go. The Premier League is the Premier League. If you ask if there are any grounds where we think we have the points already, there are none. Wolves lost a few key players but you look at the line up and think they have quality. A really good football team”.

However, one question surprised the coach. A journalist asked him about Mohamed Salah, who this summer was targeted by Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia but eventually stayed in England. Now rumors indicate that the Pro League side will try to sign him again in January, when the transfer window reopens.

Klopp's answer was unexpected. "A week after the transfer window, you ask about January? Are you kidding? You can't wait! I'm not worried, we will see what happens," he said, ending the subject and making it clear that he has no interest in talking about it for now.

What will the XI be?

Jürgen Klopp did not confirm the starting lineup to face Wolverhampton. The doubts are related to the physical condition of some players who returned from the international break, especially the South Americans Alexis MacAllister, Luis Díaz and Darwin Nuñez. If all of them are well, the XI will be: Alisson; Jarell Quansah, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis MacAllister, Curtis Jones; Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz.
