The Red Devils have problems on and off the field this season.

Manchester United's start to the 2023/24 season is the worst in 37 years. In the first ten Premier League games they have five wins and five defeats, so they are in 8th place in the standings, 11 points behind leaders Tottenham and out of the qualification zone for international tournaments.

But the team's poor performances are not the Red Devils' only problem. They have also had many off-field conflicts. The most serious of them was the quarrel between Jadon Sancho and coach Erik Ten Hag, which ended with the suspension of the English forward. In fact, he has not returned to play and it has been more than two months since then.

And now details of another unexpected conflict have come to light: the players vs Adidas. According to the Daily Mail, several stars of the team have complained because the German brand's shirts and socks are too tight. As the weeks have gone by and no solutions have been found, some players have opted to wear replicas instead of the original jerseys at matches. He even reports that the official Adidas socks have not been worn since the second match of the season.

André Onana is one of the most affected. According to reports, the Cameroonian goalkeeper has complained that his jerseys are too tight. Interestingly, during the previous season, his predecessor David De Gea had claimed exactly the opposite: that his shirts were too baggy. Daily Mail claims that Adidas is looking for solutions to end this problem as soon as possible.

They have other concerns as well

Manchester United lost 3-0 the derby against Manchester City last Sunday. This Wednesday they will have the chance to turn the page and focus on another tournament: Carabao Cup. For the round of 16 they will face Newcastle.
