Ansu Fati is currently training with the FC Barcelona first team at the club facilities after being on loan at Brighton in the Premier League for a full season. The young Spanish winger was seen as the future of the club and was even given Lionel Messi's number 10 shirt. A couple of injuries held him back from performing the way he used to, but now, under Hansi Flick, things look promising again. Fati was impressed during the training sessions with Flick, and the Barcelona fans are getting excited ahead of next season. Fati showcased his great ability of technique on the pitch while also showing the best parts of his game, which are his speed and dribbling. He made a juggling drill look so easy compared to the rest of his teammates, and he successfully made it. The rumors of him leaving the club may be put to bed as he is set to stay and earn a spot in the starting 11 of FC Barcelona next season.

Roger Torelló from Mundo Deportivo reports that Flick was very positively surprised by Fati and other young players in the squad so far in training. Fati is responding very well to the physical plan designed by the club to recover his best version. Flick wants the team to be physically better than they were before, something he implemented at Bayern Munich, which led to them winning a treble in the 2019/2020 season.

Fati is expected to play in the US preseason tour that FC Barcelona will play in later this month. Rumors suggested that he was set to go out on another loan spell this upcoming season, with Sevilla being one of the clubs interested. Barcelona will still be interested in making a big signing this summer to improve the attack.

Nico Williams close to FC Barcelona

Fabrizio Romano reports that FC Barcelona is prepared to advance in talks with Nico Williams' camp starting this week, as salary structure is a key factor in moving forward. Flick has already approved Nico Williams as the top target for this summer, and the player is also interested in joining the club.
