Barcelona has run out of options to sign Lionel Messi at the last moment. Despite initial hopes, the club failed to free up space in their squad for the Argentine's return, requesting patience to finalize player sales in the transfer market.
However, the situation did not change even after the departures of Gerard Piqué, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, leading Messi to choose to distance himself from Barcelona and join Major League Soccer by accepting the offer from Inter Miami.
The most affected by this situation is coach Xavi, who had plans to have Messi in the team and had already reserved a spot for him in the starting eleven. Now the club faces the challenge of finding a high-level player who can fill the void left by Messi.
Barcelona will have to seek alternatives and solutions within their squad and in the transfer market to overcome Messi's departure and continue building a competitive team for the upcoming season. The loss of the Argentine star is a hard blow to the club, but they will need to readjust and explore new options to stay at the elite level of European football.
One of the names being mentioned is Bernardo Silva. However, Barcelona acknowledges that his arrival is unlikely and is seen as a distant dream. English clubs value Silva between 80 and 100 million EUR, in addition to having a high salary that Barcelona currently cannot afford. Additionally, PSG is also competing for the Portuguese player's signing and has the necessary financial resources.
