Amidst the team restructuring and with the aim of strengthening their squad, Real Madrid keeps their interest alive in Paris Saint-Germain's star forward, Kylian Mbappé. Despite the French player renewing his contract with the Parisian club until 2024, the Madrid side has not given up on the idea of having his services.

Real Madrid has seen several key players leave their dressing room, such as Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, and Mariano Díaz, and they have made some acquisitions to bolster their squad. However, Florentino Pérez's board of directors believes that Mbappé would be the marquee signing they need to lead their new project.

Given the difficulty of signing the player in the current transfer market or waiting for him to become a free agent next year, the club has devised a strategy. Their plan of action includes the involvement of a highly appealing figure to Mbappé, Zinedine Zidane.

The former footballer and former Real Madrid coach, who won three Champions League titles with the team, would become the club's sporting director, a position that is currently vacant in the organizational structure. The objective of this strategy is to have Zidane's presence, a figure admired by Mbappé, to facilitate the negotiations and show the player the ambitious project that Real Madrid has for the future.

Ancelotti stays

Florentino Pérez has no intention of replacing the current coach, Carlo Ancelotti, with whom he is satisfied, but rather to incorporate Zidane in a broader and more strategic role within the club.
