Atlético Madrid is about to renew one of their stars players

According to the latest information from the player's camp, significant progress has been made in the negotiations to renew the contract of forward Álvaro Morata, which expires in June 2024. However, this renewal, if finalized, would extend until 2027.

This renewal would be subject to a salary adjustment for the player to align with the economic reality of Atletico Madrid, meaning Morata would experience a reduction in his wages. This dissipates the ossibility of the player leaving the red-and-white club for Juventus in Turin or Milan.

Both Serie A teams had shown interest in Álvaro Morata, with Milan considering him as an option to replace Olivier Giroud coming off the bench, while Juventus sought him to fill the void left by Dusan Vlahovic's imminent departure from the club.

There were also rumors of tempting offers from smaller leagues, such as MLS or the Saudi Arabian league, for the Atletico Madrid striker, but in the end, it seems that nothing will materialize.

Searching for another striker 

Nevertheless, Atletico Madrid's coach, Simeone, continues to search for a high-profile striker as he sees Morata as a game-changer, someone who can unlock difficult matches for Atletico when coming off the bench after the 60th minute, rather than being an undisputed starter.
