The successful tenure of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City may be coming to an end. Since his arrival on July 1, 2016, taking over the team from Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini, the Spanish coach has left an indelible mark on the club.
During his time at Manchester City, Guardiola has won a total of five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups, two Community Shields, and, finally, the long-awaited Champions League.
Despite his successes, doubts about Guardiola's future at the club emerged in recent years due to constant eliminations in the Champions League, despite the significant investment made and the talented squad built over the years.
However, the Spanish coach renewed his contract and is currently committed until 2025. Nevertheless, according to reports from The Guardian, it is expected that Guardiola will end his tenure at Manchester City once that cycle concludes.
Guardiola's legacy at Manchester City will be marked by his innovative style of play and the successes achieved during his tenure. His possible departure will signify the end of an illustrious era in the club's history, leaving a lasting legacy in English football. Although there are still years ahead before his departure, rumors about his future are already gaining strength.
