Liverpool has become one of the biggest and most important clubs in the world, on par with giants like Real Madrid or Barcelona. Therefore, it is disappointing that they had a season in which they failed to qualify for the Champions League and will have to settle for the Europa League.
Having such a disastrous campaign only indicates that Jurgen Klopp will need to improve the team for the upcoming season, and to do so, he will have to sign players who can change the current dynamics and elevate the collective level.
In this regard, they already have a player in mind, and it is Raul Neves, who currently plays for Wolverhampton. However, his contract is about to expire, and despite the 26-year-old player's loyalty to Wolves with the desire to help the team progress, he could leave this summer.
According to some reports, Neves has expressed his desire to leave Wolverhampton in order to join a top team, and Liverpool could make his wish come true as they have shown interest in the Portuguese player in recent days.
It won't be easy for Liverpool to secure this signing because Neves himself has stated on several occasions that he would like to play in the Champions League, a competition that Liverpool won't be able to participate in next season, and this could become an obstacle.
