Liverpool are currently the best team in England. They are the only ones who have managed to stay in all four tournaments this season: they are Carabao Cup finalists and will face Chelsea in the deciding game this month; they are in the round of 16 of the FA Cup, where they will play Southampton; they are top of the Premier League standings and are in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League.

The successes are not a coincidence, but the result of years of work under boss Jurgen Klopp and with top players such as Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. However, that may soon come to an end: the German coach has already announced that he will leave once the season ends, while the Egyptian winger could follow suit.

Last year Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia tried until the last day of the transfer window to convince Mo to accept a multi-million dollar offer to swap the Premier League for the Pro League. However, he decided to stay one more year in England to continue competing at the highest level in Europe. But that could now change.

That is the belief of Mark Levinson, a former Liverpool player who in an interview with Paddy Power said: "100 per cent Mo Salah will definitely leave this summer. No matter what happens this season, I think there was a deal last summer. He'll go and play somewhere like Saudi Arabia and hopefully Liverpool get a massive fee and get a couple of players off the back of it. Salah will be a king in Saudi! He could've gone last summer and stormed into Jurgen Klopp's office and said 'I want to go' but he's not done that".

How much is he worth?

Should Levinson be right, Liverpool will not be left empty-handed when Mohamed Salah leaves. According to specialist website Transfermarkt, the Egyptian winger is worth $70 million, but Al-Ittihad appear willing to pay much more. Reports claim that the Saudi Arabian side are preparing a bid of almost $250 million, which would make Salah the most expensive player in the history of soccer.
