After all the problems and conflicts that Manchester United had this season, now it seems that things are slowly starting to work. They had had a lousy start to the season, being eliminated in the early stages of the Champions League and in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup, as well as being even below the middle of the Premier League standings.

Haaland has a competitor, Hojlund scored for Man Utd and achieved a new record

Poor individual performances, bad coaching decisions, off-field conflicts and many injuries were some of the factors that caused the Red Devils to struggle during those first months of the season. But little by little that started to change and the team's level grew to become again one of the best teams in England.

Now they have four consecutive wins in the Premier League and that allowed them to climb several places in the standings. This Sunday they achieved the most recent of those successes at Kenilworth Road: they beat Luton Town 2-1. Although they were facing one of the weakest teams in the competition (they are just one point above Everton in the relegation zone), it was not an easy game for Manchester United.

The visitors got off to an ideal start: 7 minutes into the first half they were leading 2-0 with two goals from Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker netted the opener after 39 seconds, when he took advantage of a defensive error and dribbled past goalkeeper Kaminski. Moments later, he doubled the lead almost unintentionally, when Alejandro Garnacho's shot deflected off his face and into the net. But then things got complicated: Luton Town scored through Carlton Morris and for the rest of the match they had chances to score the leveller, but lacked accuracy.
