Manchester City is looking to part ways with Kalvin Phillips , a player who has struggled to secure a spot in Pep Guardiola's starting lineup. Despite being a talented midfielder, Phillips finds himself behind other players like Kovacic, Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden, and Bernardo Silva in the pecking order.

City is sticking to its valuation of Phillips, even though he is concerned about the possibility of being too expensive for a January transfer. Sources reveal that City is open to letting Phillips go if they receive a suitable offer. The asking price is a loan fee of around £7 million ($8.9 million), with an obligation to make the move permanent in the summer.

Reports suggest that negotiations with Juventus have stalled due to the demands, and Newcastle has not made an official approach. City believes their valuation is fair, considering Phillips' status as an established England international, despite not getting much playtime under Guardiola . Crystal Palace, Everton and Westham are also interested in the forgotten English man

City is comfortable keeping Phillips in the squad until the summer and is in no rush to sell. Despite the uncertainty about his future, Phillips continues to work hard in training and remains a popular member of the first-team group.

What does Phillip want?

As for Phillips , he is eager for regular playing time to secure his place in the England squad for the European Championships in Germany. With only two starts this season, he hopes City may lower their demands as the transfer deadline approaches on February 1. Phillips faces tough competition at City, especially with his direct rival, Rodri, starting in his absence in the Premier League.

One potential obstacle for other clubs interested in signing Phillips could be his wages of £7 million per year. The question remains whether Phillips will find a club willing to help him stay fit and compete for a spot in the England team for the Euros.
