Granada set to save united youngster

Facundo Pellistri's departure from Manchester United to Granada appears imminent, with Uruguayan outlet El País providing insights into the ongoing transfer negotiations. According to the latest reports, 'everything is underway' for the winger's move to La Liga, with sources close to the player asserting that the transfer could be finalized 'in the next few hours.'

Discussions between Manchester United and Granada have been ongoing for several days, and an official announcement is expected either tonight or tomorrow. El País views this potential move as positive news for Uruguayan national team manager Marcelo Bielsa, as Pellistri is anticipated to secure more playing time at Granada than he has at Manchester United.

Pellistri's playing opportunities under manager Erik ten Hag at Manchester United have been limited, amazing only 366 minutes on the pitch this season. In 14 appearances, he managed just one assist and no goals. This impending transfer marks the third time Manchester United has loaned out Pellistri, following two consecutive spells at Spanish side Alavés. Despite his loan moves, Pellistri remains under contract with the Red Devils until 2025, with the provision for an additional year.

It is also reported that Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven could be a good move to ensure Pellistri plays every week, whereas interest from LA Galaxy might also be on the cards although not strong due to the low standards of the MLS.
