Major League Soccer is one of the tournaments that has grown the most lately in the world. The goal of the clubs that compete there is to become more and more popular and attract the attention not only of American fans, but also of spectators from all continents. This will enable them to increase the audience levels for match broadcasts, sell more tickets and jerseys, and secure better marketing and sponsorship contracts.

The most effective way to meet these objectives is to sign top players. And those who understood this best were Inter Miami, who in July 2023 achieved what no one thought possible: that Lionel Messi would wear the pink jersey. This was a success, as Leo not only made them one of the most popular teams in the world, but also helped them on the field, allowing them to win the first title in their history, the Leagues Cup.

In 2024 The Herons will be challenged to improve on what they did last year and compete for the MLS and CONCACAF Champions League titles. But that won't be all. They will also tour much of the United States and several Central American countries, so thousands of fans will do whatever it takes to see Messi up close.

In anticipation of this, Sporting Kansas City made an unexpected decision: they will face Inter Miami on Saturday, April 13, but they will not play that game in their own stadium, Sporting Park, but will move to GEHA Field. That is where the Kansas City Chiefs usually play in the NFL. This decision is due to the number of spectators that enter each stadium. Sporting Park only seats 18,000, while GEHA Field can hold 79,000. Sporting Kansas City expect tickets to sell out quickly and so they will put them on sale on January 16.

They have already started to work

This Tuesday Inter Miami had their first training of the year. It will only be a few days of work in Florida, as they will then go on a tour of friendly matches in El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Japan.
