Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez formed one of the most feared attacking duos in world soccer. Between 2014 and 2020 they were teammates at Barcelona and shone with goals and assists that helped the Catalan side win many titles. During those years, the Argentine forward scored 230 goals and provided 128 assists, while the Uruguayan player netted 198 times and provided 113 assists. They, along with Neymar Junior, Xavi Hernández, Andrés Iniesta and other stars, were key to the Champions League title in 2015.

Thanks to all those years playing together at Barcelona, Messi and Suarez became great friends. Their compatibility on the field carried over to off the field as well, and they have even gone on vacation together with their respective families. That was one of the decisive reasons for the Uruguayan striker to decide to leave Gremio in Brazil and join Inter Miami this year, as he will be reunited with his friend.

Now Luis gave an interview to La Mesa and revealed details of his friendship with Messi that he had never talked about before. For example, he talked about a typical custom of Argentines and Uruguayans, mate. "When I arrived, he didn't drink much mate. But now that I've met him again, he's improved a lot. He must have learned with me", he joked.

However, Lucho then surprised everyone by explaining how Leo is when he gets angry: "I get along so well that I know him. If I know he's in a bad mood, I don't go near him. I'm no fool either. I know when he's in a bad mood, when he's in a good mood". And he revealed, "He gets mad about losing games in soccer, in training. Or when he's playing a game like soccer-tennis, or whatever, he also gets mad if he loses. I laugh a lot."
