This is Mbappé's non-negotiable condition for joining a new club

He wants this.

Kylian Mbappé has less and less time to decide. His contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30, 2024 and he has yet to announce what he will do. One option is to continue on the French side, either by activating the automatic extension clause until 2025 or by accepting the four-season renewal offer, with an impressive salary of more than $100 million per year.

The other options are in Spain and England. Real Madrid seem to be the favorites to sign him, as they have been interested in him for a long time and can offer him a much more attractive sporting challenge than PSG: competing for the Champions League title. And Liverpool are also hopeful, as the Premier League is a prestigious tournament that undoubtedly catches the eye of 'Kiki'.

However, money and sporting challenge are not the only things that the French striker will consider when making a decision about his future. This summer, the 2024 Olympic Games will be held in Paris, where the French national team will compete for the gold medal in soccer. They only achieved it once, in Los Angeles 1984, and now they want to repeat that success in their own country.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, that will be a key factor in choosing his next club. Mbappé is determined to be part of France's squad and will do whatever it takes to achieve it, but that will not be easy: clubs are not obliged by FIFA to allow their players to participate in the Olympic Games. That is why, in his negotiations with any club, he will try to secure that permission. And there, perhaps PSG will have an advantage, as they will be able to be more flexible with this.

Will the World Cup final be repeated?

Kylian Mbappé is not the only star interested in participating in the Olympic Games. According to reports, Lionel Messi also wants to be in Paris 2024 to win his second gold medal, after Beijing 2008. But for that he will need the Argentine national team to win one of the two places available for South American teams in the pre-Olympic tournament being held in Venezuela.
