For weeks now, fans around the world have been anxious to know where Kylian Mbappé will play next season. It is already confirmed that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain once his contract expires on July 1, despite the fact that he had the option to automatically extend it until 2025. But his future outside France is still undecided, although Real Madrid appear to have the upper hand in the competition to sign him.

Last week, Marca newspaper claimed that a signed agreement between the parties already existed, although it later emerged that negotiations are still ongoing between the club's chiefs and the player's mother and agent, Fayza Lamari. One of the main issues on which there is still no full agreement is money, an aspect on which 'Kiki' will necessarily have to give in.

He knows that in PSG he would have earned more money than in Spain, but he is looking for a way to make that difference as small as possible. Real Madrid have a strict salary cap policy to avoid conflicts between players in the dressing room, so Kylian's salary will not be much higher than other stars like Toni Kroos, David Alaba or Jude Bellingham. But he will earn more money from bonuses and performance awards.

And that's not all. According to Diario Madrilista, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, presented a law on tax breaks that provides benefits for players who are hired by the teams of the region (Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Getafe, Rayo Vallecano and Leganés) and who have not been residing in Spain in the last five years. Thanks to this, they will have a 20% tax reduction.

It will be a fortune for him

This is considered a 'new Beckham law', because it is compared to a previous one that existed in Spain and was named after the English midfielder who played for Real Madrid two decades ago. If passed, Kylian Mbappé would benefit greatly. According to reports, his salary for the five seasons he will sign with Real Madrid is $175 million gross. Without this law, it will be $87 million net; but if the tax reduction is approved, 'Kiki' will be left with $111 million net.
