This Wednesday Inter Miami will have the privilege of kicking off the 2024 Major League Soccer season. And this is no coincidence, the importance of Lionel Messi and other stars of the squad such as Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez has fans around the world looking forward to the US league, something that seemed impossible just a few months ago.

After being champions of the Leagues Cup last year, now The Herons have much more ambitious goals: they will try to compete until the decisive instances in the MLS and the CONCACAF Champions League, the two most important tournaments in which they will participate.

The first step will be this Wednesday at DRV PNK Stadium in Miami, where they will face Real Salt Lake. Inter Miami's probable XI will be: Drake Callender; DeAndre Yedlin, Tomas Aviles, Nicolas Freire, Jordi Alba; David Ruiz, Sergio Busquets, Julian Gressel; Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Diego Gomez. Although there is also the possibility that Robert Taylor will be the left-winger replacing the Paraguayan player.

Unlike Inter Miami, Real Salt Lake had a good performance in the last MLS season. They finished fifth in the Western Conference standings and then lost in the quarterfinals in a penalty shootout to Houston Dynamo. They will now begin their journey in the 2024 season and will try to get a win in Miami.
