As the EUROS and the Copa America start to get close to the end, football fans are already excited to see their clubs play next season. Two of the biggest clubs that are excited to see their new teams are FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The biggest clubs in Spain are also the biggest clubs in the world, and many football fans would pay big bucks to watch them play against each other. El Clasico has been played in Saudi Arabia, but it returns to the United States this summer at the MetLife Stadium in August for their US preseason tour. Mundo Deportivo reports that ticket prices for the Clasico in the US are skyrocketing. The minimum ticket can now be purchased for $255. The prices are indeed high for the Clasico, which will be at one of the biggest stadiums in the United States and host the 2026 World Cup Final. These prices are tough for the fans, but it will benefit both clubs ahead of next season.

The match in New Jersey will be the fourth time FC Barcelona and Real Madrid face off in the United States. The last time they faced each other was last summer at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Barcelona won 3-0 against Real Madrid, as Ousmane Dembele, Ferran Torres, and Fermin Lopez scored the goals. Barcelona also won the other two friendlies in the US as Barca won 1-0 in Las Vegas in the summer of 2022 and won 3-2 in a match played in Miami in 2017.

The two sides played 34 friendly matches in total, in which the Catalan club won 21 games while Real Madrid won four. Nine friendly matches were drawn. The MetLife Stadium holds 82,500 fans, and the match itself is expected to be sold out since Kylian Mbappé may appear with the team.

Kylian Mbappé to debut against FC Barcelona?

Mbappé is officially a Real Madrid player, and he is expected to play in a preseason game before the start of next season. Mbappé will be presented as a new Real Madrid player on July 16th at the Santiago Bernabeu. The friendly match against FC Barcelona will be on August 3rd at the MetLife Stadium. Mbappé's nose injury could be the only hurdle that could prevent him from playing that match, as he will get surgery after the EUROS.
