Neymar's career will be judged for his awards and his amazing skills on the pitch, but he will also be judged for his decisions that, to many, seem controversial or not the right ones. The Brazilian star made many decisions in his career that some believe held him back from demonstrating his full potential, leading him to potentially win bigger trophies like the World Cup and, for himself, the Ballon d'Or award. Neymar made a bold decision to leave FC Barcelona in the summer of 2017, where he demonstrated a high level with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Rumors suggested that he left the Catalan club so he could leave Messi's shadow to pursue a club that would build around and depend on him. Deco, the FC Barcelona sporting director, gave another explanation as to why Neymar left the club. Deco said, "Neymar didn’t want to leave Barcelona, but the way the board handled it, ended up leading him to make this decision. Would you stay in a place with the feeling that your board doesn’t want you?”

Images and screenshots online suggest Neymar was indeed angry at the board of FC Barcelona, especially after he left the club in the summer of 2017. The move to PSG was very shocking to many, even more to the players who had a great relationship with Neymar after four years together.

Neymar played a total of 186 matches for FC Barcelona throughout his career across all competitions. He scored a total of 105 goals and provided 76 assists for the Catalan club across all competitions. For PSG, Neymar played a total of 173 matches across all competitions. He scored 118 goals for the French club and provided 77 assists across all competitions.

Neymar on the MSN

FC Barcelona recently posted a picture of Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez together celebrating a goal. The post brought nostalgia to many Barcelona fans, and Neymar commented on the post to make things more emotional. Neymar wrote "The Best Partners." The three led FC Barcelona to win a treble in the 2014/2015 season.
