This Saturday Paris Saint-Germain got an important victory in Ligue 1. They beat Lille, one of the best teams in the tournament, 3-1 at the Parc des Princes and took a considerable lead in the standings. Goncalo Ramos, Alexsandro Ribeiro (own goal) and Randal Kolo Muani scored the goals for the Parisian team, but the celebration was not complete: the fans were worried about the absence of Kylian Mbappé.

Terrible news for Real Madrid: Bellingham's injury is more serious than expected
The French striker had been replaced after 20 minutes of the first half in the February 1 match against Montpellier and the next day the club reported: "After examinations, it was found that Kylian Mbappé suffers an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps". This set off alarm bells, as many feared that 'Kiki' would miss several important matches at a key moment of the 2023/24 season.
After the victory against Lille, coach Luis Enrique gave a press conference in which he was asked about the striker's situation. "Kylian Mbappé is physically very well. It is clear that we did not want the interested parties to take any risks. If it had been a final, he would have played," he began by explaining.
He then spoke about the near future, considering that this week Paris Saint-Germain will begin their participation in the knock-out stages of the Champions League when they face Real Sociedad for the first leg of the round of 16: "On Wednesday he will be at 100%, without any doubt".

For years the Champions League has been PSG's great obsession and the success or failure of every coach who has worked at the club is measured by their performance in that tournament. But Luis Enrique knows that this is detrimental to the team and that's why he tried to take the tension out of Wednesday's game against Real Sociedad: "For three weeks now I've only heard on TV about the Champions League and that we're playing for our lives. No. No. Obviously we will have a hot stadium as always, people will give their best face as always. But we must face this competition with a lot of calm".
