After more than two months, Inter Miami will be back in action. Their last official match was in late October, when they faced Charlotte FC on the last day of the Major League Soccer regular season. A few weeks later the squad began their vacation, which lasted until this weekend, and now everyone is getting ready to return.

This Tuesday, January 9, The Herons will begin preseason training under coach Gerardo Martino and his assistants, with the goal of reaching the best possible physical shape to face a 2024 season that will be very demanding. They will compete in the MLS and Leagues Cup, just like last year, but also in the CONCACAF Champions League, the most important club tournament in North and Central America.

Before that, however, they will have many friendly matches. The tour will begin on January 19 against the El Salvador national team at the Cuscatlán Stadium. Ten days later they will fly to Saudi Arabia to begin their visit to Asia. First they will face Al-Hilal and on January 1 they will play against Al-Nassr, in what may be the last duel between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Both matches will be part of the Riyadh Season Cup.

The following week, on February 4, they will travel to Hong Kong to play against an all-star team from that league. And three days later they will finish the tour in Asia facing Vissel Kobe at the National Stadium in Tokyo. Finally, they will return to the United States and play their last friendly match against Newell's Old Boys of Argentina on February 15 at DRV PNK Stadium in Miami.

Leo is ready to go

After more than a month resting in Rosario, his hometown, this weekend Lionel Messi took a private plane with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo and his sons Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, and returned to Miami. The forward will be present at the return to training this Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale.
