Neymar Jr. continues to try to recover from the ACL injury he suffered last October with the Brazilian national team, which kept him out for the rest of the season with Al Hilal and matches with Brazil. The Brazilian star is not playing with the Brazilian national team in the Copa America that is hosted in the United States this summer. He did support and watch Brazil's first two matches of the tournament in the group stage. Neymar was at the SoFi Stadium to watch Brazil and Costa Rica draw 0-0. He also went to see Brazil defeat Paraguay 4-1 at the Allegiant Stadium. Neymar did not attend the match between Brazil and Colombia, which ended 1-1, but he did post on Instagram, which caused lots of controversy. During the second half between Brazil and Colombia, Neymar posted a picture of him and his two children sleeping with the caption that read, "Let's watch TV? 3 minutes later..." Many assume that he is referring to watching Brazil play, which bored him and put him and his kids to sleep.

Many Neymar fans are defending him as they see it as a simple funny post he wanted to do with his son and his baby daughter. Others find it a very off thing to post, especially during the second half of a Brazil game. Neymar is often supporting Brazil whenever he is not playing, whether it's in the stadium or at home, by watching them play on television.

Regardless, some Brazilian fans were not angry if Neymar made an indirect message that the Brazilian team was boring. Brazil did not convince fans against Colombia as the match ended 1-1, and they finished second in their group with five points after one win and two draws in Copa America so far.

Brazil's next match of the Copa America

The group stage of Copa America is over, and the knockout stages begin in a few days. Since Brazil finished second, they will play against the group leaders of Group C, Uruguay. Uruguay won all of their matches in the group stages. Brazil and Uruguay will face each other at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday. The last time the two teams faced off was in 2023 when Uruguay won 2-0 at home.
