Last Saturday Real Madrid got a key victory in La Liga. They were facing Girona, their main competitors for the top of the league table, and were in danger of losing the first place if they lost. But none of that happened. They showed a great performance and destroyed their rivals, proving that right now they have no rivals in Spain.

However, it was not all positive for them. Just 10 minutes into the second half, coach Carlo Ancelotti was forced to replace his biggest star: Jude Bellingham. The English midfielder had scored two goals, but was unable to continue playing due to severe pain in his ankle after colliding with an opposing player.

Although initial estimates were optimistic, medical tests gave less than encouraging results. Jude's injury was ultimately more serious than imagined and he will need at least two to three weeks off the field to fully recover. That means he will miss this Tuesday's match against RB Leipzig, for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

But the German side are not sure about this. At the pre-match press conference, coach Marco Rose shocked everyone by revealing that he is not sure if Bellingham's injury is real. "I won't believe he's out until he's at the stadium tomorrow. I know Jude, he'll do everything he can to play the game. He might see other doctors, you don't know, I've read a lot. We'll see if he is in or not. I think he has come to the right team and we have been surprised by his performance," he explained.

Then Marco Rose talked about how Real Madrid could change in case Jude Bellingham is finally not part of the starting lineup: "If he doesn't play, there are others like Brahim (Diaz) or they might play in a 4-3-3 with Joselu in attack. There are small details in Madrid's game that will change, he is a very important player". Despite the RB Leipzig coach's suspicions, Bellingham finally did not travel with his teammates to Germany, so it is confirmed that he will play.
