However, it was not all positive for them. Just 10 minutes into the second half, coach Carlo Ancelotti was forced to replace his biggest star: Jude Bellingham. The English midfielder had scored two goals, but was unable to continue playing due to severe pain in his ankle after colliding with an opposing player.

Although initial estimates were optimistic, medical tests gave less than encouraging results. Jude's injury was ultimately more serious than imagined and he will need at least two to three weeks off the field to fully recover. Despite the RB Leipzig coach's suspicions, Bellingham finally did not travel with his teammates to Germany, so it is confirmed that he will play.
