Although many football fans admire both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, some fan bases of the two players believe that fans should only pick one between the two greats of football. Some Ronaldo fans do not like to give praise to Messi, and some Messi fans do not like to give praise to Ronaldo. What many football fans find interesting is the situation of one of Ronaldo's biggest fans, Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine openly says that Ronaldo is his idol as he celebrates like him and looks up to him. When it comes to representing his national team, Messi is the best of all time, and he gets to play with him in Copa America. In Argentina's match against Peru, Garnacho started the match and showed a decent display in the absence of Messi. The Man United winger shocked Ronaldo fans and Messi fans when he posted a picture of him shaking Messi's hands and putting a crown emoji dedicated to the Argentine icon, who is arguably the greatest player in football.

Ronaldo fans still believe that Garnacho thinks that the Portuguese striker is still his favorite player, as he did not mention or refer to Messi as the greatest of all time. The Argentine star gets to say that he did play with Messi and Ronaldo, which is a fact every footballer would've wished to have done throughout their careers.

Angel Di Maria, a couple of months ago, advised Garnacho to look up to Messi more rather than Ronaldo. Di Maria said, "The only thing I wouldn’t do is celebrate like Cristiano. I would score the goal and I would do like Messi does. I’ll stick with that.”

Alejandro Garnacho in Copa America

Garnacho did not play in the first two matches for Argentina in the Copa America. He was given the opportunity to play in the last match of the group stage against Peru, as he was given the start. Garnacho played 66 minutes for Argentina against Peru; he had one shot off-target and a shot blocked.
