The Argentina national team is very united at the moment as they prepare for the Copa America semifinal against Canada tomorrow. The players in the Argentina national team play for Lionel Messi, who is arguably the greatest legend in Argentine football, next to Diego Armando Maradona, he is admired by the whole team, but some noticed that one of the players is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. That player is Alejandro Garnacho, and he has admitted many times that his favorite player growing up was the Portuguese striker. He plays for Manchester United and got to play with Ronaldo a few years ago. The Argentine player has said that Ronaldo remains to be his favorite player, but in a short video, he praises Messi in a way that CR7 may not like to hear. When asked about a player he wished was an Argentine, Garnacho could've said Ronaldo but instead said, "We already have the best in the world. [Messi]" This surprised many Messi and Ronaldo fans, and some think he has changed his mind about the two legends.

Some Ronaldo fans believe that Garnacho made that statement to get more playing time at the Argentina national team since he has barely been featured in Copa America so far. Out of Argentina's four games in the Copa America, Garnacho started in one. Garnacho played 66 minutes in Argentina's 2-0 win against Peru in the last match of the group stage.

Argentina will be playing against Canada at the MetLife Stadium tomorrow in the semifinals of the competition. Argentina has two games left guaranteed, but the World Champions will hope to reach the final instead of playing in the 3rd place match. If Argentina does fail to make the final, Garnacho will likely be given minutes in that match. His involvement against Canada could not discarded as it will be a decisive game for the team.

Who will start against Canada?

Lionel Messi is expected to start in the semifinal of the Copa America against Canada tomorrow. According to Gaston Edul, Julian Alvarez and Angel Di Maria may start next to Messi in the attack, which is the same front three in the opener vs. Canada a few weeks ago.
