Xavi Hernandez's announcement that he will not continue at Barcelona after the end of the current season sparked unexpected consequences across Europe. Minutes after the coach's press conference after the defeat against Villarreal in Montjuic, newspapers, TV shows and social media were flooded with rumors and speculation about his possible replacements.

This is Arsenal's response to rumors about Arteta leaving for Barcelona
Rafael Marquez, former Los Blaugranas player and current coach of the club's reserve team, publicly stated that he would like to make it to the first team and that upset the Barcelona chiefs, who reportedly reprimanded him and forbade him to speak about it again in interviews. At the same time, Arsenal in England had to deny rumors that Mikel Arteta is considering leaving at the end of the season.
And something similar is happening in Germany. Just a few hours after Xavi's announcement, the words of Thomas Tuchel, Bayern Munich's coach, were known during a talk with a fan club. There, the German manager assured that he would like to work in La Liga: "Moving abroad is something that still attracts me and Spain has an extraordinary league".
This was seen by some as an attempt by Tuchel to install his name among the options to manage Barcelona and caused an uproar in Germany, forcing Bayern Munich chiefs to release a statement to clarify the situation. "(Tuchel) answered general questions from fans about Spain as a soccer country. He never spoke about Xavi Hernandez and his successor, as was falsely claimed afterwards. We will no longer accept such false statements directed against our coach, which always come from the same source", they explained.

While Thomas Tuchel is not among the options to replace Xavi, other German coaches have been mentioned. Jurgen Klopp, who recently announced he will leave Liverpool in June, is one of them. Another is Hansy Flick, former Bayern Munich coach. And also Julian Nagelsmann, who just a few months ago was hired by the German national team.
