Arsenal's goal this Sunday is to get a win at Craven Cottage against Fulham and become leaders of the Premier League table. They lost that place last week, when they were unexpectedly beaten by West Ham United at Emirates Stadium and Liverpool took advantage to go to the top. In addition, Aston Villa also did the same on Saturday, thanks to a win over Burnley.

The Gunners know that if they get three points they will regain the leadership of the tournament, at least until the Reds face Newcastle on Monday. However, the mission is not easy, as Fulham have proven to be a tough team and at home they will do their best to get at least a draw that will allow them to move away from the relegation zone.

Things had started perfectly for Arsenal, as 6 minutes into the first half they scored the opener through Bukayo Saka. The goal came after an individual play by Gabriel Martinelli, who entered the box after dribbling past an opposing defender and shot with his right foot, forcing a save from Bernd Leno. But the German keeper couldn't keep the ball, Saka grabbed the rebound and scored.

However, the hosts were not discouraged by that goal and a few minutes later netted the leveller. It all started with a pass from Willian to Tom Cairney. The Scottish midfielder, on the left side of the field, sent a drilled cross that crossed the box and reached Raul Jimenez, who only had to push the ball with his right foot to overcome the resistance of goalkeeper David Raya.

Coach must not be satisfied

Fulham and Arsenal went into halftime tied 1-1. This is certainly not what Mikel Arteta was hoping for, so he is likely to make changes in the second half to try and improve the team's performance. The substitutes are Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny, Emile Smith-Rowe, Jorginho, Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus.
