Manchester City have proven to be one of the best teams in the world. During the previous season they won the Champions League title by defeating Real Madrid in the semifinals, with a convincing 4-0 win in the second leg, and Inter in the decisive match. And at the start of this season they have beaten all the opponents they faced in Group G.

This not only allowed them to advance to the round of 16 of the tournament and secure the leadership of the group standings, but also to reach an impressive record: they have 7 consecutive victories in the Champions League. And this Wednesday they will try to increase that streak to 8, when they visit Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, for the last match of the group stage.

For the Citizens the match has no importance other than mere statistics, as nothing will change for them win, draw or lose. But some players will have an unbeatable opportunity. One of them is Micah Hamilton, who surprisingly will be part of the XI for the first time. And Julian Alvarez, on the bench, could also enter during the second half to play as center-forward.

Manchester City's starting lineup will be: Stefan Ortega; Rico Lewis, John Stones, Manuel Akanji, Sergio Gomez; Kalvin Phillips, Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes; Oscar Bobb, Micah Hamilton, Jack Grealish. In addition, the substitutes will be Scott Carson, Grant, Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Max Alleyne, Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden, Rodri, Susoho and Julian Alvarez.

They no longer have any hope

Red Star Belgrade are bottom of Group G with just one point and no longer have a chance of advancing to the last 16 of the Champions League or reaching the UEFA Europa League. However, they want to give the fans a reason to celebrate and beat none other than the last champions. That is why coach Barak Bakhar chose this XI: Omir Glazer; Kosta Nedeljkovic, Nasser Yacouba Djiga, Uros Spajic, Aleksandar Dragovic, Guelor Kanga, Srdjan Mijailovic, Hwang In-Beom, Osman Bukari, Cherif Ndiaye, Peter Olayinka.
