Leo will not have official competitions with Inter Miami until February.

Every league in the world has its own calendar. Some start in August and end in June of the following year, with vacations and a long pre-season during July, as in most European countries and in Saudi Arabia. And others start during the first months of the year and end in November or December. This is what is happening in the United States.

Major League Soccer is about to end. In fact, next Saturday the final of the tournament will be played between Columbus Crew and Los Angeles FC. Once one of them wins the title, the season will end and will not resume until late February or early March.

Inter Miami are one of the teams that started their vacation earlier. They did not qualify for the playoffs of the Eastern Conference and that is why they did not have any more official games in October. For a few weeks the squad continued training under the orders of coach Gerardo Martino and his assistants, and for the last few weeks the players have been on vacation.

Lionel Messi is enjoying his time off with his family, before traveling to Argentina to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve in his hometown of Rosario. This week his wife Antonela Roccuzzo shared on social media a video where Leo is seen training in the gym wearing an Argentina national team shorts and a white t-shirt. She wrote: "Chin ups" and added several emojis of flames of fire.

In Saudi Arabia they are busier

While Messi has time to relax with his family, Cristiano Ronaldo is competing in more than one tournament. A few days ago Al-Nassr lost against Al-Hilal, the Pro League leaders. And this Tuesday CR7's team will play their last match in the group stage of the Asian Champions League, against FC Istiklol Dushanbe.
