Chelsea won last week their first match in the 2023/24 Premier League season. It was on Friday, 3-0 against Lutton Town at Stamford Bridge. And the fans were delighted not only because of the result, but also because the team's performance was convincing and showed a level that gives them hope for the future. With this victory they reached 4 points, after drawing with Liverpool and losing to West Ham United.

Now coach Mauricio Pochettino's mission is for The Blues to repeat that performance and get another victory this Saturday against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge. If they do so, they will be breaking a negative streak of almost 6 months: the last time the London side won two consecutive Premier League matches was in March, when they beat Leeds United and Leicester City.

For the match against Nottingham Forest, Pochettino shows that he was satisfied with the level of the team and will make no changes to the starting lineup, which will be: Robert Sanchez; Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill; Malo Gusto, Conor Gallagher, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Ben Chilwell; Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson.

The Tricky Trees have 3 points in the Premier League. They lost 2-1 against Arsenal, beat Sheffield United 2-1 and lost 3-2 against Manchester United. For this match, coach Steve Cooper decided that the XI will be: Matt Turner; Willy Broly, Joe Worrall, Scott McKenna; Serge Aurier, Orel Mangala, Danilo, Ola Aina; Ryan Yates, Taiwo Awoniyi, Morgan Gibbs-White.

‘Poch’ has plenty of alternatives

On Chelsea's bench will be the latest player to arrive at the club during this transfer window: Cole Palmer. The winger was unveiled just two days ago after his departure from Manchester City and is already available to play for his new team. Also on board will be Dorde Petrovic, Lucas Bergstrom, Marc Cucurella, Ian Maatsen, Mykhailo Mudryk, Lesley Ugochukwu, Noni Madueke and Deivid Washington.
