Midfielder Sergio Busquets bids farewell to Barcelona after 18 years of service, as he opts not to extend his expiring contract at Camp Nou. Despite speculation about his future plans, Busquets has made it clear that he will not continue at the club.
Busquets' decision leaves a significant void in the team led by Xavi Hernandez, who acknowledges that the addition of a new holding midfielder is a priority for the club in this transfer window due to the position's importance in their playing system.
Although the veteran player is not under pressure to make an immediate decision about his next move, he has been strongly linked with a possible move to the United States to join Inter Miami, the Major League Soccer club, with the aim of reuniting with his former teammate Lionel Messi.
However, with no confirmed agreement with Inter Miami, a rival offer from the Qatar Stars League has emerged, causing Busquets to delay his response to the American club.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the midfielder has received an offer from an anonymous club in Qatar. Although his priority remains the United States, Busquets is seriously considering the possibility of joining the Qatari club, as there are rumors of it being a lucrative offer financially.
