Barcelona managed in the last hours before the closing of the transfer window to agree on the signing of two top players that will help improve the team and allow them to compete with the most important clubs in Spain and Europe: Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo.

Xavi Hernández's priority was the arrival of a right-back, as he considered that the squad did not have enough alternatives in that position. The signing of Cancelo will allow him to solve this problem. He had also requested an attacking midfielder or a forward, especially after the departure of Ousmane Dembélé to Paris Saint-Germain. That's why Joao Felix arrived.

And now, with just one training session with their new teammates, the Portuguese players have been called up for this Sunday's match against Osasuna at the El Sadar stadium in Pamplona. And they will not be the only good news, as the two players who had not yet been able to be registered due to financial fair play issues will also be there: Iñaki Peña and Iñigo Martínez. The only two players who will not be able to be present due to physical problems are Ronald Araujo and Pedri.

The 22 players called up by Xavi to play against Osasuna are: goalkeepers Marc-André Ter Stegen, Diego Kochen and Iñaki Peña; defenders Joao Cancelo, Alex Balde, Iñigo Martínez, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Jules Koundé and Pau Cubarsí; midfielders Gavi, Oriol Romeu, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie De Jong, Ilkay Gundogan, Marc Casadó and Fermín López; and forwards Ferrán Torres, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Joao Felix and Lamine Yamal.

No one will replace Ansu Fati

Beyond the speculation, finally no one took the number 10 jersey left vacant after Ansu Fati's departure to Brighton & Hove Albion. The latest arrivals at Barcelona, Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix, could have chosen it, but they opted for other numbers: the defender will wear 2 and the forward 14.
