The German national team is one of the most important in the world. Throughout their history they have won four World Cups (Switzerland 1954, Germany 1974, Italy 1990 and Brazil 2014). In addition, they have had top players who have shone in the best teams in the world, such as Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthaus and Miroslav Klose.
However, after being champions in 2014 after beating Argentina 1-0 in the final with a goal by Mario Gotze, they have suffered two consecutive heavy failures. At Russia 2018 they were eliminated in the first round, after losing to Mexico and South Korea and beating Sweden.
And unexpectedly, history repeated itself at Qatar 2022. There they lost against Japan in the debut, drew with Spain 1-1 in the second match and beat Costa Rica in the third. But that was not enough to advance to the next round.
Now a preview of the Amazon Prime documentary 'All or Nothing', which was filmed during the last World Cup, has been released. There you can see footage of Germany's training and locker room, and it's clear that things weren't right between some of the players on the team.
Some of the scenes that were released show a strong quarrel between two of the team's main players: Joshua Kimmich, Bayern Munich midfielder, and Antonio Rudiger, Real Madrid defender. Kimmich told him: "You never say it to my face, you always say it from behind. Do you think I don't play for the team?", to which Rudiger replied: "They tell you things, they give you instructions...". And finally the midfielder said, "You always tell me 'do what you want' and then you end up telling me the complete opposite." However, the discussion ended there and nothing more serious happened.
