Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has made an indelible mark on the world of football this season. His impressive performances with Manchester City, scoring 52 goals in 52 games, have catapulted him into the debate of being considered the best player in the world.
In a pre-match press conference, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola was repeatedly questioned about Erling Haaland's physical condition and his lack of goals in recent matches, attempting to cast doubt on the player's stature.
Guardiola came to the defense of his Norwegian star and responded emphatically, "I'm not here to debate Haaland's goal average. If you have doubts about it, you're the only one. I have no doubts, he will be ready to help us win the Champions League."
During the same press conference, De Bruyne praised his teammate and friend, highlighting his astonishing performance, "He has scored at an incredible rate, which gives us confidence. Even in the recent matches, he has played a crucial role in different aspects. I hope he can continue doing what he's been doing in the final."
Haaland has been a key player in Manchester City's lineup and has benefited from the support and masterful passes of Kevin De Bruyne on the field. Now, Haaland faces an even greater challenge as he takes on the Champions League final against Inter Milan.
