Last Thursday the Brazilian National Team suffered a hard blow: they were winning 1-0 against Venezuela at the Arena Pantanal stadium in Cuiabá, but in the last minutes the visitors scored the equaliser. This caused the anger of the fans, who did not hesitate to show their disappointment with insults and aggressions to the team's players. Neymar was one of the main targets and even had a bag of popcorn thrown at him and hit him in the head.

And that was not all. In the following days, the Brazilian press harshly criticized the Al-Hilal player not only for his performance on the field, but also for alleged parties in which he participated together with Vinicius and Richarlison before the match against Venezuela, and for having argued with the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodrigues.

In this context, this Tuesday Brazil will have a very difficult challenge in Montevideo: they will face Uruguay at the Cententario stadium, for the fourth match of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. They will be looking for a victory that will allow them to return to the top of the standings, at least until Argentina faces Peru in Lima.

Brazilian coach Fernando Diniz chose this XI: Ederson; Yan Couto, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Carlos Augusto; Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães; Neymar; Rodrygo, Gabriel Jesus, Vinícius Júnior.

They also need to win

Uruguay's start in the qualifiers was very good: they beat Chile in Montevideo showing a great level. However, they then lost to Ecuador and drew with Colombia. That is why, now at home, they need to get a victory that will allow them to get closer to the top of the standings. Coach Marcelo Bielsa decided that the starting lineup will be: Sergio Rochet; Nahitan Nández, Ronald Araújo, Sebastián Cáceres, Mathias Olivera; Federico Valverde, Manuel Ugarte, Nicolas De La Cruz; Facundo Pellistri, Darwin Nuñez, Maximiliano Araújo.
