The striker has yet to play official matches this season.

Kylian Mbappé has been training with the Paris Saint-Germain squad for almost a whole week now. After having had a meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaifi last Sunday, in which both expressed their desire to put an end to the conflict, the owner of the side withdrew the punishment and allowed him to return to the team. Since then he has been working under Luis Enrique and fans are looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch.

The first chance he will have to play will be this Saturday, August 19, when PSG play the second match of the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season. It will be against Toulouse FC at the Stade de Toulouse and there the Parisian side will be looking for their first win in the tournament, after a disappointing performance against Lorient in the opener.

Luis Enrique gave a press conference this Friday at noon and was very complimentary of Mbappé: "Kylian is in great shape, he has a lot of desire, very good mood. I'm very happy to have a world-class player like him."

However, he was then asked if PSG's chiefs guaranteed whether Mbappé would remain with the club after Sept. 1, when the transfer window closes, but the manager did not respond. Some felt he simply forgot the question, but others interpreted it as a hint about the striker's future. Rumors about a new punishment for 'Kiki' were reborn, although so far there is no certainty about what will happen.

He also talked about Neymar

At the press conference Luis Enrique was asked about the Brazilian forward, who this week left PSG to play for Al-Hilal: “I think it was a favorable decision for everyone. I would like to thank him for the behavior he has shown when I have had him since I arrived. He is a world-class player and I wish him all the best for the future.”
