Paris Saint-Germain earned a valuable draw in Germany last week against Borussia Dortmund that allowed them to secure second place in Group F and advance to the Champions League round of 16. But despite that good news, Kylian Mbappé proved unhappy with the attitude of the coach and his teammates during the final minutes, as he believed they could win the game and the rest settled for a draw.

This sparked rumors of alleged differences between 'Kiki' and Luis Enrique. The Spanish manager has received harsh criticism during this semester for some of his strategic decisions in certain matches and added to that is his usual tension with journalists. Therefore, after the match against Borussia Dortmund, newspapers, TV shows and social media were flooded with news and speculation on this issue.

This Tuesday, the coach gave a press conference before the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Metz, for the 17th matchday of Ligue 1. There, a journalist asked him about his relationship with Mbappé and Luis Enrique's answer was absolutely unexpected.

"As always, we have a perfect relationship. We are not a couple because he doesn't want to. I don't know why you keep asking me this question, I am very close to most of my players. We have always been very close to Kylian. He makes jokes, he always laughs. I also like to laugh. We have a very good relationship with the players," said the manager.

He has not yet announced his decision

Another reason why Kylian Mbappé is in the news all the time in the media is because of the uncertainty about his future. His contract with PSG expires on June 30, 2024 and no one knows what he will do after that date. In fact, as of January 1 he will be free to negotiate with any other club in the world that wishes to sign him. Real Madrid remain the favorites, although there are other interested teams such as Liverpool and Al-Ittihad.
